From faculty pioneers and dedicated librarians to instructional designers and cross-institutional teams, the OERizona Network Awards recognize those who are impacting student access, affordability, and academic success. By fostering a statewide culture of open education, these awards spotlight the transformative power of OER to create more equitable learning environments for all students.

Award Categories 

OER Faculty Trailblazer Award 

Description: This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in adopting, creating, and promoting Open Educational Resources (OER) within their institution. Their work has significantly impacted student learning outcomes, access, and affordability.

Criteria:


Curator of Open Discovery Award 

Description: This award honors an individual who has played a pivotal role in supporting OER initiatives, resource discovery, and training for faculty and students. Their efforts have expanded the use of OER on campus and contributed to building an inclusive and equitable learning environment.

OER Architect Award 

Description: This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated outstanding contributions to the creation, enhancement, and implementation of OER materials. Their expertise in course design has significantly improved the quality and accessibility of OER content.

Community Builders in Open Education Award 

Description: This award celebrates a team or group of individuals across institutions who have worked together to develop, share, or implement OER. Their collaboration has led to significant advancements in OER adoption, resource sharing, or curriculum development across multiple colleges or universities.
